Three Things You’re Craving
As I chat with clients, I can't help but notice that there are three things you all are craving right now, and I'm thrilled to offer you the perfect solution to satisfy each one.
Ugh! The Humidity!
Humidity can be good for dry or cold sensitive skin. My skin seems to do better in the summer in regards to hydration. But can become easily overheated. If you are oily or have acne it can actually create more issues for you.
Over Exfoliating Can Accelerate Aging
The idea is that by removing the “old, dead” skin that new fresh skin will rush to the surface. The skin is not actually dead, it is still attached and communicating with the skin’s immune system.
We may be causing more harm than good.
Menopause and Skin
I wanted to share some information on how menopause affects the skin. If you are in this phase of life, then you may have already noticed changes in your skin.
To Peel Or Not To Peel
At one time, you may have had an esthetician or dermatologist recommend peels or other deep exfoliating treatments this time of year. The idea is that because we are not in the sun as much during the fall and winter, it is OK to be aggressive by removing the surface layer of skin stimulating repair of sun damage and hyperpigmentation. I have a different way of thinking.
Keep It Flowing
Creating energy flow, blood flow and lymph flow will aid in strengthening our immune system and our mood. This will also prevent stagnation in the body and will show on our skin.
